About this place
Classic Iekei ramen brings together a rich tonkotsu shoyu broth and smooth, medium-thick noodles that grip the soup. Situated just south of Sakurajosui Station, Ohdooya fills each bowl with a punchy broth combining the deep savour of pork bone with a sharp, seasoned tare sauce. Dipping the large sheets of nori seaweed into the soup and wrapping them around mouthfuls of steamed rice makes for a thoroughly satisfying meal when hunger calls for something substantial.
Bowls come in regular, medium, and large portions, with a varied roster of toppings to match. Depending on your appetite, choices range from chashu-men layered with hearty slices of braised pork to vegetable-heaped dokamori ramen loaded with bean sprouts, or a fiery umakara ramen spiced with chilli. Classic toppings like spinach, seasoned soft-boiled eggs, and Kujo green onions sit alongside sides like cabbage-chashu, offering plenty of room to tailor the bowl to your taste.
Alongside tsukemen dipping noodles, the side menu features gyoza dumplings and makanai-meshi, a bowl of rice topped with pork chashu dressed in a special sauce. It works just as well for a quick solo lunch as it does for late-night cravings, with hours extending into the early morning on select days.
